0508 Smart Lift

  Welcome to Smart Lift

From the outset, the Smart Lift vision was to offer customers alternative solutions to their lifting requirements through the following:

SMART Machines

  • Innovative equipment, well maintained & well presented.
  • Finding equipment that suits our environs & customers requirements.

SMART People

  • Personnel with vision, who think outside the box to solve problems.
  • Personnel who take pride in wearing the Smart Lift uniform .

SMART Service

  • Offering a quick, efficient service utilizing clever equipment operated by well presented staff who enjoy their work. On time, any time, no problem.

  • Very cost effective. Small equipment is quicker and easier to mobilize, it can get in and get out with little disruption to customers, vehicles or the public - therefore the end price is usually less than can be achieved with other methods.

SMART Solutions

  • Coming up with best solution for the customer – even if it means calling in another company.
  • Resolving the ‘how on earth are we going to do that?’ question.

Smartlift crane operator Paul Guy
Managing Director, Paul Guy

Established in 2007 in Dunedin to fill a gap in the market for specialist, tight access crane services, Smart Lift can service the whole South Island with ease. We were the first crane company in New Zealand to specialize in spider cranes and glass lifting equipment.

From just one small spider crane we have expanded the fleet steadily to include bigger spder cranes, truck cranes, tracked spider man lifts and scissor lifts - all chosen for their compact, lightweight designs. Most machines are also eco friendly with the ability to run on electricity for clean, silent operation.

Other equipment includes manual forklifts, telescopic material handlers, manual cranes & glass trollies.

Managing Director, Paul Guy, aims to still retain the start up philosophy of providing the best solutions to your unique lifting needs. 'No' is not a word!

Our client base is broad – including building maintenance and inspection, construction and demolition, heavy machinery repair, glazing and roofing, ship building and plant maintenance. Clients range from local individuals to tradesmen and international corporates.
